About ...Bob La Castra
Bob La Castra’s name is synonymous with children’s television and children’s music. However, although best known for his achievements in the children's television arena, Bob has a diverse television history.
Bob was a regular cast member of the internationally acclaimed TV soap, ‘Neighbours’, playing the popular cockney character, Eddie Buckingham.  Television viewers around the world may also have seen him present the ABC’s travel program ‘Holiday.’
In Australia, Bob is probably best remembered for the 5 years he spent as a host/presenter of Channel Seven’s, multi award winning children’s show, ‘Wombat’. After just 5 months on air, Bob was acknowledged by the ‘Television Society of Australia’, with a ‘Penguin Award’ for ‘Best Children’s Television Personality’. During his time on ‘Wombat’, Bob released his first children’s book, ‘Inside Outback Down Under’, which sold over 10,000 copies.
The following year marked the release of ‘Change The Future’, a song written by Bob, with all proceeds from the sale of the record, going to UNICEF.
Change The Future’ led to Bob being awarded a ‘Media Peace Prize’ and remains one of his proudest achievements.
Throughout all the diversification, Bob continued to expand his television credentials, hosting 80 episodes of the teenage game show, ‘The Big Square Eye,’ which screened on the ABC.
Now, Little Production House, with the proven partnership of Bob and Lindsey La Castra at the helm, is embarking on new, innovative and exciting ventures.
