storylines for his character.
In addition to his time as a ‘small screen’ actor, Bob spent 5 years as a host/presenter of Channel Seven’s multi-award winning - and Australia’s longest running children’s program - Wombat. In particular, Bob has a long standing association with ABC Television. As well as his success with his writing exploits for the network, Bob was also a presenter of the ABC’s travel program - Holiday. The ABC also offered Bob his own ‘teen’ Game Show - The Big Square Eye, of which there were two series produced (80 episodes in total).
However, despite all his television and writing plaudits, Bob still lists one of his proudest achievements, as being awarded a Media
Peace Prize for the song ‘Change The Future’, which he wrote and recorded to raise funds for UNICEF. The song was also used in Bob Geldof’s ‘Sport Aid’ promotion, with the song clip being shown in 160 countries around the world. Bob has also written
several TV theme songs (including Wombat) and co-written an album with Australian rock legend – Brian Cadd.
Although he has achieved considerable success both on and off screen, Bob’s true passion is to write – whether that entails scriptwriting or songwriting.
